Fit Yummy Mummy Review

SummaryFit Yummy Mummy banner
Fit Yummy Mummy  is a downloadable e-book by certified personal trainer and author Holly Rigsby. Holly uses short, “no bulking circuit weight training” to bring about an elevated metabolism for many hours after the workout is over so the exerciser will burn more calories leading to weight loss.

The Fit Yummy Mummy Program doesn’t utilize long, continuous cardio exercise, but rather, shorter, more intense intervals that impact your metabolism.  The workouts can be done at 15 mins per day or optionally 30 minutes every other day. I’m not a mom, but know that taking care of a baby is demanding. A short, flexible program can be very helpful.

  • Doesn’t require equipment
  • Includes a nutrition program
  • Includes bonus advanced workouts for once you complete Fit Yummy Mummy
  • Fit Yummy Mummy comes with a trouble-shooting guide. In case you’re not getting the goals promised by the Fit Yummy Mummy program, Holly attempts to help you figure out why, so you can make corrections.
  • 100% money back guarantee
  • No need to wait for this to show up the mail. This program is an instant download on your computer.

Holly Rigsby does not an extensive fitness background. She was simply an avid exerciser who, by chance, stumbled across a program that helped lose post-pregnancy weight. As someone who does value education of the body, I admit that this raises a red flag for me. But, even I can admit that this is not rocket science. A person doesn’t have to have a PhD in order to figure these things out. To her credit, Holly went on to become certified in personal training. She is also using sound principles that are proven and safe. She also consulted with exercise and nutrition clinicians to hone her concept into a polished, sound program. She has since opened a personal training studio and has helped hundreds of women successfully lose weight.

The Fit Yummy Program is simply an e-book. This may or may not matter to you. A book can obviously be as good and affective as anything else. I just don’t want you surprised when you don’t get a stack of DVD’s in the mail.

If you are a new mom who can’t afford a nanny and a personal trainer, you need to find something that works for you and your situation. Fit Yummy Mummy might be your solution. I like Holly’s “no bulking circuit weight training” concept.  Additionally, if possible, I’d recommend the daily training over the every other day approach.

6 Week Pregnancy Weight Loss Review

Summaryimage of 6 week pregnancy weight loss program

6 Week Pregnancy Weight Loss Program is designed by fitness expert Sara Dean. It is based on 15-30 minute, high-intensity, strength and cardio circuit training.

I like the fact that Sara is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine. Being from the fitness industry, I can tell you that hers is a top-notch certification that not just anyone can acquire. Sara is the real deal. Not that it means everything, but Sarah was a trainer who started this program for moms rather than the other way around. The workouts use strength and cardio circuits and only take 15-30 minutes each day. That’s pretty good news for the demanding life of a new mother. The 6 Week Pregnancy Weight Loss Program requires almost no equipment. Hand weights would be nice, but not required. For the money, I’m pretty impressed by the amount of product you get:

  • 8 exercise videos
  • Nutrition guide
  • Daily journal

I hate it when I can’t find anything for this paragraph.  I can only say that I’m usually a little suspect by the claims of 15-30 minute programs. But, Sara has some pretty rabid fans touting impressive results by this program. So, it can’t be too easy.

A sound program developed by a fitness expert tailored specifically for mom’s weight loss. And, a huge package of materials to help out…honestly, I don’t think you can go too wrong with this program.

Prenatal Pregnancy Exercise Guidelines

pregnant woman exercising for pregnancy exercise articleExercising during your pregnancy is recommended because it helps maintain posture, decrease common discomforts, relieve stress, and increase stamina for delivery.

If you ARE already fit and active prior to being pregnant, you should be able to maintain your activity with moderation.  It is not advised to increase exercise intensity, but rather stay at a comfortable level for you. It is also recommended to participate in lower impact cardio (walking, swimming, elliptical trainer) rather than high Impact (jogging running). And, it is always a good idea to talk to your doctor for any personal recommendations they might have based on your medical history. Here are the highest rated postnatal exercise programs. Prenatal Pregnancy Exercise Programs

pregnant woman exercising for pregnancy exercise articleNote: the recommendations given here are assuming you have already spoken to your doctor and been given the green light to start exercising. If you haven’t, please do so before starting any exercise program. Also, if you have already delivered your baby, check out postnatal exercise programs.

If you are starting an exercise program, it is recommended that you:

  • Perform 30 minutes of moderate, low Impact aerobic exercise daily
  • Keep intensity low enough to avoid heavy breathing and exhaustion
  • Exercise in cool temperatures
  • Strength train with light weights
  • Avoid lying on your back during second and third trimesters
  • Include light stretching and relaxation before and after exercising

With these limitations in mind and the Prenatal Exercise Guidelines followed, there are some very good exercises programs just for you. Here are the highest rated:

image of mom and baby for postnatal exercise articleAs with all exercise programs, there are some good, some bad, and everything in-between. If you have read Best Exercise Programs you know that I wish everyone was motivated enough and knew how to create their own exercise programs, but this is one situation when an already-created program is great idea. Reason being, there are several medical concerns to consider post-delivery and one can never be too careful

With that in mind, I have looked around and found some safe, fun, and effective exercise programs to help you get your body back.  Here are the highest rated. All are created by exercise professionals and follow standard post-natal guidelines. Additionally, they provide good results! I recommend checking them out!
