Sliding Pike Exercise
The sliding pike (that’s what I call it) is one of my new favorites. I’ve been using it for a little while at the gym I train at thinking the slides were a new piece of exercise equipment. I just found out that they are actually just furniture sliders. They are fantastic gadgets for working out. You can one here. You can pick them up at any hardware store or online. Body Parts Used
Main focus is on the rectus abdominus.
Instructions
- Insert your feet into the TRX straps so that they work while in the prone position.
- Place yourself in a push up position where when you are fully extended, the straps are straight up and down.
- Exhale as you tighten your abs and maintaining straight legs, pull your feet towards your chest.
- Inhale as you return to nearly the starting position.
- Repeat for as many repetitions as desired.
